1. How to request deletion
You can submit an account deletion or data removal request through either method:
- Open the Mealza app, go to “Profile > Customer Support,” and state that you want to delete your account.
- Email foodiarydeveloper@gmail.com with a subject such as “Mealza account deletion request.”
To protect account security, we may ask for information needed to verify account ownership, such as sign-in method, user ID, linked email, phone number, or a purchase-record summary. Do not send full payment card numbers, passwords, or SMS verification codes by email.
2. Before deletion
- After account deletion, you will no longer be able to sign in to Mealza with that account.
- Recipes, images, meal cards, shopping lists, favorites, household shared data, device sync data, and support records under the account may be deleted or anonymized.
- If you purchased a subscription through App Store or another channel, you need to cancel auto-renewal on that platform. Account deletion does not automatically cancel third-party subscription billing.
- Household shared content may affect other household members. We will try to delete information directly linked to your account, while content created or jointly maintained by other members may remain under their accounts.
3. Deletion scope
After identity verification and final confirmation, we usually delete or anonymize:
- Account profile, sign-in identifiers, avatar, nickname, contact information, and device push identifiers.
- Recipes, drafts, meal cards, images, lists, favorites, and personal preferences that you created or submitted.
- Household sharing identity, operation records, and sync data directly linked to your account.
- Logs no longer needed for support, compliance, or security risk control.
4. Information that may be retained
The following information may be retained for a necessary period due to legal, financial audit, security risk-control, dispute handling, or technical backup reasons:
- Subscription, payment, refund, and invoice records.
- Security logs needed to prevent fraud, abuse, attacks, or unlawful behavior.
- Transaction, operations, compliance, or dispute records required by law.
- De-identified, anonymized, or aggregated statistics that cannot directly identify you.
5. Processing time
We will process requests as soon as reasonably possible after receiving a complete request and verifying identity, usually within 15 business days. Complex requests, unsettled subscriptions, disputes, security risks, or legal requirements may require more time, and we will provide updates in a reasonable way.
6. Withdrawal
You may withdraw the request through the original request channel before deletion is completed. Once deletion is completed, the account and related data may not be recoverable.
