Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026

This policy applies to the Mealza app, web/H5 pages, and related services. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the services.

1. Who we are

Mealza helps users record, organize, and manage everyday food and recipe-related content. In this policy, “we” refers to the operator of the Mealza service.

For privacy questions, data access, or deletion requests, contact us through “Profile > Customer Support” in the app or email foodiarydeveloper@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity information

When you sign in or link an account, we may process your user ID, nickname, avatar, phone number, Apple/Google sign-in identifiers, and email address depending on your sign-in method and authorization scope.

Content you submit

We process links, text, photos, voice input, records, lists, shared content, notes, and support messages that you actively submit or save so we can provide content organization, storage, sync, display, and customer support services.

Device permissions

When you actively use camera, photo library, microphone, voice input, notifications, location, or image-saving features, we access the relevant data within the permissions granted by your system. You can disable permissions in system settings, but some features may stop working.

Purchase and subscription information

If you purchase a membership or subscription, we process transaction identifiers, subscription status, product IDs, receipt verification results, and expiration dates from Apple App Store or other payment channels to provide benefits, restore purchases, and handle support issues. We do not collect full payment card numbers.

Technical and log information

To keep the service reliable, we may collect request time, IP address, device type, OS version, app version, API errors, task status, crash data, and diagnostic logs.

3. How we use information

  • Provide core features such as content import, organization, records, sync, household collaboration, list management, and account services.
  • Process membership benefits, subscription status, purchase restoration, refunds, and abnormal transaction checks.
  • Store content, drafts, images, records, and collaboration data that you actively create or submit.
  • Troubleshoot issues, improve service quality, protect accounts and systems, and prevent abuse.
  • Respond to support, data access, export, correction, or deletion requests.

4. Third-party services and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. To provide the service, we may transfer or entrust data to these types of providers within a necessary scope:

  • Cloud, data storage, network delivery, and operations providers.
  • Technology service providers needed for content processing, account security, customer support, and service improvement.
  • Platform service providers for sign-in, payment, subscriptions, and notifications.
  • External content sources and related service providers that you actively submit or authorize us to access.

We require service providers to process data only for agreed purposes and to use reasonable security measures.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service. Account data, recipes, images, meal cards, household sharing, shopping lists, and subscription records are usually retained until you delete the content, close your account, or the legally required retention period expires.

You can delete some content in the app or request account deletion according to our Account Deletion page. After deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information directly linked to your account, except information that must be retained for legal, dispute, audit, or security reasons.

6. Children's privacy

Mealza is not directed to children under 14. Minors should use the service with guardian consent. If a guardian believes a child's information was collected improperly, please contact us.

7. Data security

We use access control, encryption in transit, least privilege, logging, and backups to protect data. No internet service is absolutely secure. If a security incident occurs, we will handle notification and response obligations under applicable law.

8. Cross-border processing

Our servers, third-party services, or operations personnel may be located outside your region. By using the service, you understand that data may be processed in different regions. We will take necessary safeguards where required by applicable law.

9. Updates

We may update this policy due to product changes, legal requirements, or operations. Material changes will be announced through the app, website, or other reasonable methods. The updated policy takes effect on the effective date shown on this page.
